Grab the kids and come try something new! Our inaugural Kids Fishing Day gives children the opportunity to learn about fishing, get outside, and have some fun at Fireman’s Pond. Kids 15 and under can fish for FREE, no fishing license required!
We'll have:
- FREE fishing for kids 15 and under
- FREE bait
- DNR Fishmobile
- Certified angler education instructor on-site
- Limited fishing equipment available
No fishing experience necessary! The certified angler education instructor will be there to help kids learn and get started. Families are encouraged to bring their own fishing equipment if they have it, as equipment will be limited.
Fishing license information: Anyone age 16 or older who plans to fish must have a valid Wisconsin fishing license.
Whether your child is an experienced angler or has never held a fishing pole before, come give fishing a try!

Free Food Available at Kids Fishing Day! Food will be available at the pavilion at Fireman’s Pond and will include:
Food is available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Quantities are limited.
