Village of Johnson Creek News
The Village of Johnson Creek is sharing plans for The Spot at JC, a new community gathering place currently in the planning and development phase. The project is being developed by local owner and developer Brian Norby and is intended to create a welcoming space for residents and visitors.
Beginning January 7, 2026, we will transition to Wednesday garbage and recycling pickup.
The Village of Johnson Creek welcomes Neil Vandenhouten, appointed to serve on the Village Board through April 2026. A resident since 2020, Neil currently serves on the Planning Commission and is eager to further support the community in this new role.
The Gobbler Theater, a well-known and beloved Johnson Creek landmark, is set to reopen under new ownership. The new operator has applied for a Liquor License and Conditional Use Permit, paving the way for the theater’s return as a vibrant community destination.
To enhance communication with residents and visitors, the Village Board has approved the purchase of a new, modern sign. This new sign will enable the Village to easily share announcements, updates, and upcoming events, reaching the thousands of vehicles that pass by each day.
